About
Our story
We started with the pieces we kept
Every wardrobe has three or four things that get worn until they fall apart, and a rail of things that never quite worked. We wanted to make only the first kind.
So the collection is small on purpose. Each piece is cut from a fabric we would wear ourselves, in a fit we have stood in front of a mirror to argue about, and made by a workshop we have visited. When something does not earn its place, it does not come back next season.
We are a small team. We answer our own messages, and if a piece does not fit the way the page said it would, we want to hear it.

Patterns are adjusted on real bodies, not a dress form, and a fit note is written for every piece before it goes on sale.

Natural fibres wherever the garment allows it, from mills we can name on the product page.

Made in small runs by people we have met, so a piece can be changed the season we learn something.
A note from us
We are not designers by training. We are two people who got tired of clothes that photographed well and wore badly, and decided the fix was to make fewer things and make them properly.
If you have a piece of ours that has lasted, tell us. If you have one that has not, tell us faster.
